For the past week and a half I have been trying to communicate with individuals through email nationally. Some emails have came back to me and were undeliverable. Other emails went through but I have not heard back from them so I will be forced to do the alternative. I will be listening to pod-cast's from this website:
http://www.worldforumfoundation.org/
A hint- if anyone is having trouble with the link to the alternative assignment I found that if you click the link it does not work. However if you copy and past the link in your browser it does work.
Tisha,
ReplyDeleteIt seems like most of us are experiencing the same issues trying to connect with someone outside of the United States. I was fortunate that a coworker hooked me up with a professor from her hometown in Japan; I will be writing about my experience in next week’s blog. Listening to the podcast will not be quite as exciting as personally connecting with a professional in the early childhood field, but I’m sure you will gain plenty of interesting and useful information. Thanks for passing on the hint about the link; I’m sure others will find it very helpful
Tisha,
ReplyDeleteKeep trying! This is a great example of how to connect with people that we don't know at all. I keep thinking and trying to relate this online experience with establishing international contacts with the experience of entering for example a large conference room full of people who I don't know. How do we approach those people. The only challenge with online connections is that they don't get a chance to see you smile when you say hello.
